A Mind Map of Shoes

With mind maps we can present and organize our thoughts and ideas in a way that helps us “connect the dots”, and become more creative and productive. Unlike the linear presentation, mind maps make use of space and symbols to present not only the core elements, but also the minute details of our thoughts. This alone makes mind maps much more effective tools for brainstorming than simple notes written linearly on a paper.

Let me show you an example where a subject is presented first in the form of a mindmap and then in the form of traditional note taking, aka linear text.
